Bethel Math Project
POSTIVE STUDENT RESPONSE SYSTEMS Grant: The Positive Student Response (PSR) project provides a year of extensive and ongoing staff development for thirteen teachers of mathematics in grades three through twelve. This staff development model targets the integration of specific technologies with a focus on math concept development by students. This research-based project includse extensive face-to-face training, mentorships with partnering district teachers, online interaction through a project blog and an interactive Web site for use by teachers and students. The technologies to be used in the PSR project include 1) class sets of student response systems for immediate feedback to teachers; 2) document cameras for use by teachers and students to show student work and to demonstrate math concepts being taught; 3) laptop computers and projectors to access interactive instructional materials for use with the student response systems. All of the volunteers for the PSR project currently have laptops and projectors.

Bethel Math Project Assessment
Math M.A.D.E. Easy (Multiple Access to Digital Environments): Students are provided with access to online and application-based math resources. These resources are directly tied to state standards and district consolidated plan goals. Teachers are trained to use online math resources as both instructional tools and learning environments for students.
